Bio
Pramodit Adhikari is a Ph.D. student in Architectural Engineering (Structures) at the Charles W. Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a member of the Smart Resilient Infrastructure and Urban Systems (SiRIUS) Lab under the supervision of Dr. Milad Roohi. His research focuses on improving the resilience of buildings and communities subjected to natural hazards through probabilistic modeling, reliability analysis, and data-driven decision-making frameworks.
Prior to joining the SiRIUS Lab in 2024, Pramodit earned his M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Colorado State University, where his research examined the life-cycle cost, sustainability, and resilience of residential communities exposed to tornado hazards. He also worked as a Research Assistant Intern at Idaho National Laboratory and was selected as a Wind-driven Fire Reliability Fellow at the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS), where he contributed to wildfire and wind-driven fire resilience research.
Pramodit's recent work integrates field reconnaissance data, machine learning, Bayesian model updating, and uncertainty quantification to enhance the predictive accuracy and transferability of community resilience models. He is the recipient of the 2026 ASCE Engineering Mechanics Institute (EMI) Objective Resilience Committee (ORC) Student Paper Competition Award and the 2026–2027 SEAoN Fellowship Fund. His research has been presented at national conferences and symposia, including the NHERI Computational Symposium and the ASCE Engineering Mechanics Institute Conference.
