Reza

The SiRIUS Lab is pleased to welcome Dr. Reza Filizadeh as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Dr. Filizadeh recently completed his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the University of Vermont, where he specialized in structural engineering, multihazard analysis, and reliability-based assessment of infrastructure systems.

His research experience spans earthquake engineering, probabilistic risk assessment, structural health monitoring, and life-cycle evaluation of reinforced concrete bridges. Dr. Filizadeh has also worked as a Project Consultant at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH), contributing to seismic reliability, fragility analysis, and advanced numerical modeling of steel and concrete structures.

At SiRIUS, he will work under the supervision of Dr. Milad Roohi and Dr. Christine Wittich, contributing to research in multihazard resilience modeling, infrastructure monitoring, and risk-informed decision frameworks for critical infrastructure systems.

We are excited to have Dr. Filizadeh join our team and look forward to the important contributions he will bring to ongoing and upcoming research initiatives.
