Dr. Roohi Receives IABSE Outstanding Scientific Paper Award 2025

Dr. Roohi and his co-authors were honored with the Outstanding Scientific Paper Award 2025 by the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) at the IABSE Awards Gala in Zurich, Switzerland.

The award recognizes an internationally collaborative research effort focused on integrated seismic resilience, structural health monitoring, and data-driven decision-making, with particular emphasis on the implications of IN-CORE for resilience-informed infrastructure planning. The work advances methodologies for linking monitoring, modeling, and decision support across interconnected infrastructure systems.

Dr. Roohi attended the awards gala alongside co-authors Nisrine Makhoul, Helder F. M. Sousa, and Stergios-Aristoteles Mitoulis, representing the broader international research team behind this effort. The event brought together researchers and practitioners from around the world, highlighting cutting-edge advances in both scientific research and real-world infrastructure projects.
